It was always inevitable that Rep. Bachmann would get into trouble once she got out of the protective cocoon of Minnesota politics. She's been treated with kid gloves by the media, political and legal establishment in Minnesota ever since her days on the Stillwater school board. Only once she got to Washington have reporters ever held her to her own statements, or has anyone tried to make her follow the same rules everyone else has to follow. And, all the way back to the '90s when she first came to prominence, Bachmann's most consistent core conviction has been that she can say and do anything she wants and never have to stand by anything if she doesn't want to. We local rubes will put up with that, but it won't play on the national level, as we are seeing.

She obviously made enemies in her own party on her way up to national notoriety.

"However, Jesse Jackson Jr. not only exceeded her in every way but the citizens of Illinois re-elected him in abstention the and Star NEVER made a single comment about that. Oh, profiling, I guess.".................What on earth does an Illinois politician have to do with our very own, home-grown embarrassment named Bachmann? This just shows how desperate you are to deflect her lack of accountability. Jackson did indeed cross the line, but didn't hold a tiny candle to this woman's crazy and constant lies and incendiary rhetoric. Not even close.

Oh, profiling, I guess.____________ In agreement with crystalbay - how many Minnesotans does Jesse Jackson Jr, represent? He's Illinois' problem, Bachmann's ours.
