You know what I think? I think it's the wrong spouse running for mayor.

There is no way this fruitcake should even be seriously considered for responsible public office. He needs therapy not public responsibility.

Weiner is incredibly fortunate to have such an understanding, forgiving spouse. He still should give up his mayoral bid and focus on resolving his weird personal issues, though.

I'm guessing that if she didn't have further political aspiratons of her own the answer to him might have been different.

She is Hillary II. No surprise, she is her mentor. This has nothing to do with anything except the search for power. Like the Clintons, the Weiners are going for the cake. I though New Yorkers were a bit more savvy, but he leads in one poll. I almost hope he wins. It might be kind of funny to hear the hecklers.

Really thought-provoking commentary. Well written and making cogent arguments.

Mrs. Weiner's choice is her own, and should be respected. But Mr. Weiner.....well, I am at a loss of words to aptly describe this ridiculous, pathetic man. He should just go away, that we should never hear of his antics again.

Let's hope the voters of NYC are smarter than the voters of S. Carolina, who inexplicably just handed Mark Sanford another election victory. My sympathy to both Ms. Abedin and the former Mrs. Sanford for their unfortunate choice in spouses. I also hope we are seeing the end of the public's skewering of the wife because of her husband's abominable behavior.

"Putting yourself out there comes with a cost ..." I'm not sure a professional comedian could have crafted a set of words with more poignent double entendre' than Ms. Abedin chose!
