Japanese give new prime minister a mandate

Shinzo Abe plans to redraft the pacifist constitution, written by the U.S. post-World War II, to allow for a more robust military with real offensive capability. This alarms the Chinese no end.

Why would this worry the Chinese? The Chinese have a huge industrial base and natural resources that the Japanese simply do not have. Besides...65-years after WWII the Japs are now nuking themselves: Fukishima!!

This helps us out so much. Japan has been our closest trading partner and may grow into our very most important military ally. I cannot think of another country that I would rather have on my side in a fight. I wish they would have done this a decade ago.
