Sounds like a parent of guardian should be charge instead. The girl was approximately 11 years old at the time of the incident, if not younger. I wouldn't be surprised to find out the woman charged was victim to such a crime herself. Either way, hard to hold an 11 year old culpable for a crime of this nature in my opinion.

Just slipping in under that statute of limitations after the report. Gonna be very hard to prove anything with that many years gone by and everyone children. Accuser can't even narrow down the year. Proof that the recollection is very fuzzy.

So you can just wait until the suspect is an adult to charge them as an adult, no matter how young they were when the crime was committed? I have no clue on innocence or guilt, but the age thing makes absolutely no sense at all! So if the statute of limitations was 15 years, you could charge an 18 year old as an adult for a crime they committed when they were three??
