Bats? I saw a ball drop between a couple of triple A players. I saw some horrible pitching. I saw some horrible throwing, and I saw one of the worst teams in MLB. Bats may have had something to do with it, but there is really too much to mention that contributed to this loss and this team.

Stellar performance from Gardo's lads. I'm not quite sure what was more nauseating...the Twins pitching, hitting and fielding...or Bremer's and Kelly's comments. But hey, it's not really Gardo's fault...

Every part of this organization has died, is rotting, and stinks. Pohlads, sell the team to interested and competent ownera who want to and know how to win, take your half billion dollar profit from Taxpayer Field, and leave!

So they got beat by a good pitcher, don't mind that. What, however I do mind is that Diamond needs a wake up call which is to be sent down to the minors and get his head straightened out plus he needs to understand how important conditioning is. When a starter consistently can't get at least 6-7 innings, he no longer deserves to be a starting pitcher and Diamond these days can't even finish 4 innings. If the Twins keep running him out as a starter and the players know he can't last 4 or 5 innings it impacts the whole team negatively.

Yeah, this team only lacks pitching. Boy, if we only had some pitching..please, enough already with all the Gardenhire promo pieces.

Time for Diamond to go to AAA to see if he can find something, although it is now a full year since he has been effective. His last two months last year were pretty poor too, so it may be that the first 4 months of 2012 were a fluke, and this is what he is. Right now, he has absolutely no command of his pitches, and more than walks, it is the balls he leaves right on a tee in middle of the strike zone that are killing him. at thi point, what the heck, give Albers a shot; he has worked hard for it,

Today's article talks about Ron Gardenhire is not to blame for the poor pitching Terry Ryan has given him. True but, Gardy is at fault for continuing to keep Scott Diamond on the Twins roster. He has just 2 quality starts since May 7th...and he is just lost and very ineffective. Andrew Albers is no savior...but he deserves a look. Diamond needs to start over from square one at Triple-A along with Oswaldo Arcia and Chris Parmalee. Gardy is doing Diamond and the Twins a disservice by having Scotty be a sacrificial lamb. Does an anvil have to fall on Gardy's head!!

Attended the three game series with my grandson each game. The absolute truth is the Indians lost the first two...the Twins didn't win them. I have had bits and pieces of season tickets for over forty-years. I will not renew until Gardenhire and Anderson are replaced, and an entire new coaching regime is brought in to work with what hopefully will be a competitive future. For the media in this area to continually overlook the obvious and condone the actions of both Ryan and Gardenhire are unforgivable. I didn't receive a discount on my renewal the past three years though I should have. Enough with the Gardenhire pardons and Ryan excuses.

As Souhan noted today in his column, the Twins do not have any serious starting pitching which is not the fault of Gardenhire. Diamond clearly was a flash in the plan last year and may well not be a legitimate major league starter.

If you lose 7-1 it's just more than just bats failing.
