"As long as congress keeps anymore obama proposals from going forward, all's good!"------- which proposals dont you like? Ending the war in Iraq? Drawing down the war in Afghanistan? Getting bin laden? Ending don't ask don't tell? Fixing the banks and auto industry? Repairing our international reputation? Do tell what proposals you don't like.

JB, I would rather not judge you by either of those standards. What I want to judge you on is how many problems you fix (or at least address)!

Lawmakers should be encouraged to be lawchangers too. A periodic examination of laws followed by removal or more likely recreation should lead to less confusing, more relevant, consistent and enforceable statutes. If we voters are willing to recognize this along with new laws, it can happen.

Hey Stib, where is the article about Harry Reid not even bringing bills to floor to vote? Oh I guess that would go against your "Agenda" here huh? lol

More "political speak" from the Republicans! As with any level of government, there are old laws on the books that are meaningless and unenforceable. How about repealing those!!! But those are just a waste of time. The Republicans REPEALED Glass-Stiegel and replaced it with Gramm-Leach-Biley! We saw the disastrous results to our economy! They repealed Big Oil environmental responsibility laws. We saw the largest environmental disaster in out history! They repealed Wall Street accountability regulation! We saw the largest corruption scandals in U.S. History!! he fact is ... corporate America will NOT regulate themselves! Regulatory and criminal laws are a MUST to protect us from corporate corruption, and protect us from ourselves! THAT is why we elect and HAVE government, to govern over and protect us!! And all-in-all, they done a great job in this great nation, although the divide between the two giant political parties is a "ticking time bomb"!

Unless we are talking abortion, then a new law from the right would be hailed as historic. This is just a total cop out. It's called rebranding a failure to govern as a victory for a small base of anti-government zealots.

"House Speaker John Boehner says Congress 'ought to be judged on how many laws we repeal.'" The GOP, once again showing how much easier it is to destroy than create.
