Ridership rises on Northstar

Ridership on the Northstar Commuter Rail Line increased 15 percent during the first six months of 2013, compared with the same period last year. A new station in Ramsey and significant ridership increases in Big Lake and Coon Rapids offset decreases from the Anoka and Fridley stations.

Even if ridership doubled, Northstar would easily continue to meet satisfy every aspect of a boondoggle. And we're ready to build another called the Southwest LRT that mirrors it, primarily serving the Twins, Vikings, and a couple of Eden Prairie park and rides since it otherwise has no "destinations" in between.
