From the editorial: "The court would have to seek balance between the public interest in disclosure and the potential threat to public safety." A worthy debate! It's impossible for the public to make an informed decision without accurate and complete information. We are being asked to sever the link between disclosure and personal privacy in the interests of absolute security. We need reliable information to decide on the proper balance among the three.

Klobuchar says the Free Flow of Information Act of 2013 would protect journalists and their news organizations from being forced to reveal confidential information, including the identity of a source who has been promised confidentiality - - - What blogger could NOT claim to be a journalist for a news organization?????
