It is funny that the party of individual freedoms are the ones that are trying to dictate what medical treatments are ok for individuals. Show up and vote, or let these anti-freedom politicians take your freedoms away.

I think the time to worry about your health would be before you got pregnant. The Dem's are all for the women's right to kill her child but very few are looking out for the health of those who have no voice. Keep patting yourselves on the back Dem's a unborn child out there wants to thank you.

Whenever the Left utters a statement like "women's health is at stake" they really mean babies lives are at stake.

Yes, this is an embarrassing mishmash of medical claims, from which medical groups are "respected," to apparently all the abortion clinics are up and running with EMR's! Who knew? Of course, the EMR is most helpful if it is linked with other systems, right? It is oddly amusing to see the faux outrage at ultrasound exams, when most happily pregnant ladies cant wait for their first one. Indeed, almost all abdominal surgical procedures now have anatomy-defining imaging such as US or CT, preoperatively. Lastly, the idea that abortion clinics meet cleanliness standards, well, that darn GOP is simply anti-woman! ;oD

"It is oddly amusing to see the faux outrage at ultrasound exams, when most happily pregnant ladies cant wait for their first one. Indeed, almost all abdominal surgical procedures now have anatomy-defining imaging such as US or CT, preoperatively. "..................First of all, transvaginal probes are not medically necessary and having white male politicians dictate that they be done fits the federal definition of rape: penetration with a body part or OBJECT without consent. They are essentially legislating legalized rape only for the purpose of harassment, not for any medical reason whatsoever. Furthermore, few "happily pregnant women" ask for or receive REQUESTED ultra sounds until AFTER the time when most abortions are done, and then it's not transvaginal. How dare you or McDonnell or any male legislator intrude into my private relationship with my doctor???? How dare you impose an unnecessary and invasive medical procedure on me?? Pre-op ultra sounds have absolutely no relationship to this subject and are only done for valid medical reasons, not because some men legislated that they be done. Finally, if you honestly believe that this is "faux outrage", you'd better stand aside because you haven't seen anything more real in your life and it's only going to escalate from here. Your attitude is disgustingly condescending and so typical of right wing males.

"The Dem's are all for the women's right to kill her child but very few are looking out for the health of those who have no voice."..................A blastocyst smaller than a lima bean and unrecognizable as a human being is NOT a "child" or a "baby". It has the potential of becoming one just as an acorn may become an oak tree, but it is NOT what you refer to it as at the time of 97% of abortions. If you put a fraction as much energy and attention into the already born children as you do pushing your pro-birth agenda, I'd have some respect for your position but just the opposite is true. Once born, the same folks demanding that a fertilized egg be granted full human rights rail at having to provide resources to support them. Sheer hypocrisy.

So why is a boyfriend charged with murder for slugging his pregnant girlfriend abdomen killing the fetus? Isn't it legal to abort a pregnancy? Oh, he killed someone...interesting logic.
