Court hears state appeal seeking to reinstate gun discussion law in 'Docs vs. Glocks' case

MIAMI — A Florida law that restricts what doctors can ask patients about gun ownership should be reinstated because it doesn't limit free speech as a federal judge ruled, an attorney for the state argued Thursday.

"One of the panel's judges expressed concern that allowing doctors to ask about guns could devolve into a situation in which physicians begin collecting lists of gun owners and turning them over to the federal government."

Of course, that is the intent, and in the end, is what would happen.
