How you can discuss the greatest living song writers without mentioning Paul Simon is beyond me.

John Bream seem to love to overstate the case and state his opinions as fact. It would have more effective, in my opinion, to say "four of the greatest American songwriters" than "the four greatest living American songwriters". I would probably put John Prine above Brian Wilson, but that's my opinion. I have to wonder if Jon Bream went to the same first half I went to because I thoroughly enjoyed the first half. I certainly heard more than a few nice melodic, bluesy, jazzy guitar breaks, great little fills, etc.
