Key will be communications, situational agility/flexibility and stamina/conditioning. Looking forward to this coming season ... hope to see them gel and improve. Am not expecting a winning season (esp. in the Big Ten) but a lot of heart and hustle and growth as the season moves along.

Just think if Tubby was still here big Mo would still be the same size or bigger. There wasn't any doubt the Gophers weren't in the best of condition and it shows once you start getting into the Big Ten season. Last year at times players only played 4 minutes and in comes 2 or 3 different players. Shuffling players in and out constantly is a recipe for disaster and that's what we had the last 6 years.

This is going to be an exciting year for Gopher basketball. Trying not to set expectations…I just want to see tough competitive basketball throughout the season, especially in the Big Ten. I can forgive losses in a transition year. I truly believe this will be the start of something BIG for Gopher basketball!!!

I have a good and a bad feeling about our new coach. The good feeling is he will begin to turn this program around right from the beginning and will be competing for a B1G title within a couple of years. The bad feeling is he will leave right after that happens for a bigger, more high profile position. Hope I'm right on the first; wrong on the second...

If Pitino builds a competitive program, yes, he might very well leave for a high profile (Louisville?) school, but the Minnesota job will be much more attractive to another good coach. You have to do something bold to get into that situation. No guts, no glory.
