Maybe Supervalu chairman Bob Miller had big lunch plans Tuesday, when he concluded the company’s annual meeting in New York after only 11 minutes.

How much money did they spend flying all of those people to NYC for a 11-minute meeting? Seems like some hotel in downtown Minneapolis would have been just as useful... and a lot cheaper. No wonder the company is in the tank.

Paige7. I'm willing to bet most of the shareholders (investors) that would have attended are based in NYC (Wall Street), therefore they actually saved money having it out there rather than having them all fly here.

They could have met in aisle 9, or 8 or 7 or 6....buy some groceries and generate business.

Speedy as a checkout? There is a reason I shop elsewhere and it is because I like to get through the checkout line in less than eleven minutes.

Rocketstep, the difference is those investors and analysts you are talking about would have flown here on their nickel, not SuperValues
