Have to shake your head about releasing Ortiz. .272 batting average, 20 HRs and 75 RBIs. Twins, a few years later thought it prudent to sign a home town player for $184 million over 8 years. That player through the first half of 2013 is batting .320 with 8 HRs and 32 RBIs. As Sid Hartman would say, these "genius' sure know how to recognize talent. Luckily for the Twins, they have loyal employees who upon instructions from the owners, would claim a back-up toilet is clean and pristine and available for use.
