The list should be made public. We p-ay legislators to work, not have affairs with co-workers. How much of the taxpayers money was spent by these people? The voters are entitled to know the whole story and law enforcement needs to conduct an investigation to find out if any fraud or misuse of taxpayers money was involved.

Brodkorb's team is orchestrating the political version of the scorched earth strategy. And, it is working. When the people named in the lawsuit are subpoenaed, this issue will be settled quite quickly.

Ms. Norton and the Senate may be continuing to fight this because of "principle," but Ms. Norton is collecting a huge chunk of taxpayer money in doing so. As much as I loathe Brodkorb, I am also very unhappy with the leadership in the Senate for wasting valuable tax dollars to teach somebody a lesson.

The Senate Republicans started this circus and, in a curious combination of arrogance and fear, have continued to oppose a settlement. For Senate Democrats, it is the curious combination of retaliation and fear. As the respective arrogance and retaliation motive diminishes, a settlement will probably be reached. Once the firm cost number is reached, the Senate leadership is obligated to sue the Senate Republican Caucus to return the funds to the Senate non-partisans and taxpayers who were innocent parties to this scandal.

Mr. Brodkorb's list is a bi-partisan affair. The DFL is equally represented.
