Although these passive systems are doing a good job at reducing radon risk, they're also giving new homeowners a false sense of security in their safety. Out of the 137 homes we've tested in the past few years in the Twin Cities Metro, 53% have had high radon levels. The best and only way to be protected from radon is if you complete a radon test and install a fan if necessary. There are great resources from the MN Department of Health and other local business on protecting your family.
