What is Gardy's excuse this time? If it wasn't for that first 5 innings without a hit or the two we didn't score a run we would have run.

In the last 22 innings, the Twins have struck out 32 times ! That has to be some kind of a record. It doesn't matter what kind of pitching you have when you are so inept at the plate. And now, we go to New York with Scott Diamond to pitch. OH BOY!

Great job Rays! Congratulations on the 'sweep'!

It is time to admit this is a team with very minimal talent and a manager and pitching coach that do not motivate or help improve what the pitching. Ownership start looking in the mirror because it is on your plate too. Time to stop going to the games and never bank or do business with a Pohlad family enterprise so maybe then they sell the team to responsible ownership who in tern will get responsible coaches and players. Trade Mauer get pitching and help up the middle. Offer to pay $10M of his remaining contract for the next 3 years in the deal. Same with Morneau. Start over.

Now on pace to lose 95 games once again. Terry Ryan pretended he wasn't in fact an over-the-hill GM by claiming he had the answers to the odd 2011 disaster. Yet, the facts reveal that his dumpster diving is proving terminal to this franchise. There's a reason the typical ace gets paid $20-$25M per season. There's a reason productive shortstops get paid $10-$15M per season. There's a reason you don't spend 30% of your payroll on a catcher. There's a reason...well...the list goes on and on and on...While Ron Gardenhire certainly has his faults, it is the utter neglect, failure, and denial offered by Terry Ryan that's doomed this franchise. I mean, you can blame Billy Smith all you want (all he did was steer this team to the best record in the division three of his four years here), but most of the slugs on this team--Parmelee, Florimon, Pelfrey, Corriea, Plouffe etc.--were either drafted or signed by Terry Ryan. The guy has no clue. Honestly, ask him to articulate his plan for this franchise and he'll tell you his "plan" is a secret. He has no plan!! None!!!

Did we "tip our hat?"

Should the Rays really get credit for a 4 game sweep when they did it against a minor league team? Doesn't seem fair to the other major league teams that have to play against major league competition.

Go get 'em Yanks! Keep the 'sweep' going!

Everyone wants to rip Anderson. How about Brunansky? The Twins have way more talent at the plate than they do on the mound.

Let's see, we've had the Bremer plug, and the Gardo sympathy card, I suppose the lead story tomorrow will be Anderson for pitching coach of the year, and Vavra for the award for the third-base coach that's had the most runners on second and third without scoring.
