Good for Allen but it is sad that our wounded veterans, referred to as Heroes, need a charity to raise funds for them. They should be taken care of by all American taxpayers and rewarded for their service to us all. Our slashed programs should be enhanced to take care of anyone wounded in service who will have trouble supporting their own lives due to injuries, mental or physical. Maybe then Jared Allen can dedicate his popularity to other causes, perhaps children in need of food or healthcare.

Jared Allen is a good man.

The Waconia Lions made a donation to Jared Allen's organization last week to coincide with a planned salute to veterans weekend. Collin Faust who threw out the first pitch of a celebrity softball game in Waconia featuring the Wounded Warrior Amputee Softball team, was so grateful for all Mr. Allen has done. Do to a conflict, Mr. Allen couldn't join us, but a representative from his organization did. I hope that Mr. Allen's fortitude will carry his organization over the top. From this article, it sounds like he has a lot to do.
