NEW YORK — We may never know exactly what Alex Rodriguez and Ryan Braun are being accused of in Major League Baseball's Biogenesis investigation — if they beat the rap.

Under MLB's CBA, the players won't sit back and take these suspensions without a serious legal battle, nor should they. What MLB (Selig) is trying to do is suggest that being in the records of Biogenesis (a 'known PED supplier") counts as one offense, and lying about it (taking the word of the owner as the truth) counts as a second offense. These players haven't failed a test, and without a test, there's no evidence they are lying. While I support the efforts that MLB is taking to clean up the game, this is baloney. It's like convicting a guy solely on the testimony of a known criminal, and then tacking on a perjury charge because he proclaimed his innocence. If you're going to "clean up" the game, you have to do it in a "clean" way.

ericgus55, Braun fail a drug test then had it thrown out on a technicality, A-Rod has admitted to using HGH. I think what MLB is trying to say is, you denied that you ever went to Biogensis and now we have proof (alleged) you did. Strike one, lying about going, strike two being caught. What really matters to me is that I just don’t like A-Rod and Braun, they break the rules and I think it would be good for baseball if they got suspended.
