U.S. Rep. John Kline has banked $1.1 million to defend his south suburban congressional seat against national Democrats targeting him as one of a handful of vulnerable Republicans.

The headline says $10M, but that's not supported by anything in the article. It should say $1M or $1.1M.

Thanks Strib for reminding me to send checks to Emmer and Kline. I just got off their websites and made sizable donations! Both win by over 10 points. And you libs can throw all the money you want for the dem candidates. Not gonna work in these districts.

You saw how the DFL is trying to destroy Minnesota. Keep the United States safe by electing conservatives like Kline to the house. Otherwise, Egypt will start to look like a welcome refuge.

Kline will definitely raise a lot of money from his war profiteer buddies. He helps keep that steady flow of money into their pockets going so he "earns" their "patriotic" support.

Kline will find out that money isn't everything. He knows Obermueller is the candidate to beat.

Just like Romney, there isn't enough money to get Kline re-elected. Toting the Tea party mantra is a one way ticket out these days!

And here we go again. Its about how much money and not the skills of the candidate. What a waste of money which eventually and some how comes out of tax payers money when it is all written off. I'd like to see one candidate who actually campaigns on merit and not money, aint going to happen, but a dream is all any American has these days.. Oh, can someone explain the comment "You saw how the DFL is trying to destroy Minnesota"? House sales up, jobs up, lots of construction, hence jobs, just about everyone I know who was out of work is now working again? etc etc? Sure, the system will always suck, but seriously, it has gotten a lot better for many people. No, not everyone, but a LOT....

I would like to see a limit on campaign expenditures. If you can't be successful on a campaign budget, you don't get to run the bigger budgets. Term limits wouldn't be a bad thing either.

Take a look at Mr. Kline's FEC filings, and see who has contributed to his campaign. Take a look at the groups who give him grade "A" and those who don't. Mr. Kline votes with Ms. Bachmann 94% of the time, and with Mr. Boehner 95% of the time. Mr. Kline has refused to disclose his tax returns. It would be interesting to see what they say. In a district with more than 50% women, he votes against women's rights. In a district with substantial immigration issues, he votes against the kinds of solutions raised in the Senate immigration bill. He may have a lot of money, but if people in his district are listening, it won't matter.
