This type of senseless crime and violence is typical of Democrat communities. Chicago also happens to be the hometown of the current President of the United States of America. Funny how he never mentions the slaughter occurring in his own back yard, isn't it? You can trace the rise of crime and violence in these formerly middle class communities to the time when Democrats started their welfare state.

This is what happens when you have the nations toughest gun control laws and the lowest gun crime prosecution rate. Law abiding citizens can't defend themselves and criminals get off scotfree.

Doesn't Chicago ban guns in public places? Just more proof that any cries to ban guns is just a feel good measure.

I speak for everybody when I say this is a small price to pay to preserve our second amendment rights.

Why does all this crime happen in Chicago with all the gun restrictions? Some of the toughest in the country yet killings are increasing and common sense is decreasing exponentially.

I'd really like to see the statistics on how many of the gun crimes in Chicago involve perpetrators who have already broken dozens of already existing gun laws ... before they even pulled the trigger. I think the gun-phobes would faint if they knew how often already existing laws are not prosecuted, nor even charged. Yet, the silly Democrats wail and moan for MORE of what is already not working... typical.

They only have to go outside the city limits to purchase their weapons.

A 17 year old with a gun, well the law prohibits it. He wasn't old enough to possess a gun, get a permit to carry or to point it at police, what was he thinking, instead of being killed he could of went to jail for a couple of hours.

Chicago is another (obvious) failure of the democrats war on guns and the 2nd amendment, similar in scope to fast and furious. Strict laws, with continous call for even more restrictions, and virtually no enforcement or incarceration, you get the opposite results. I guess the demo's don't care about who is paying the price for their games, just like Mexico?

strongest gun control laws in the U.S.... one of the highest murder rates. HELLO?! It's the culture. Our President would seem uniquely qualified to speak to address the urban violence in Chicago...it's his own "backyard" and he's African American. So why does he not use his station and power to make a statement to the inner city of Chicago?
