When you consider all the well-meaning but cumulatively onerous laws and regulations in place to hire and fire full time employees, including the new health care mandate, guess what? Employers have found another solution.

re: "Employers have found another solution." -- This isn't a solution, it's a cop-out. It's a way of not comitting to anything other thsn a balance sheet.

The best thing americans could hope for would be government to simply get out of the private sector and allow citizens to form their own assocuiations, and regulate society without the burden of political party appeasement.

I love temp jobs...(as long as you know thats what it is) I can get paid almost double what a "fulltimer" would get...I save up and be responsible. It allows me to achieve more wealth and not get stuck in a dead end job I don't like. You do have to trade security for freedom, a tough sell these days I know...

It's corporate America's dirty little secret. So much for corporations having a moral obligation. What ever happened to corporate citizenship? They need to be the foundation of our economy, not the termites eating away at it. I work with temps, so I see it first hand every day - low pay, no benefits, job uncertainty....and most are trying to be breadwinners for their families.
