Women on film: A notable summer

If women feel victim to movies being made about guys getting the guy, then don't go to those movies. Make movies that you like and go to them, and Hollywood will respond when women support these films and the bucks start rolling in.

Ivaro3, I think that it is just an interesting statement about a concept that came to light in the 80's and hasn't changed much. How hard is it to have two women in a movie actually talk to each other? Dialogued roles that advance the plot don't all have to be male, but yet it seems to be a stretch for us to see the women as anything other than "token". It isn't even about their occupations, it is just existing outside of men, which we do in real life all the time. I don't think it is about changing the movies, as much as being a part of it...
