Wisconsin governor signs unemployment benefit changes into law

MADISON, Wis. — Gov. Scott Walker has signed a bill that would increase the maximum weekly unemployment insurance payout but install new limits on who can collect the benefits.

Right. Why continue helping those unemployed attending vocational school? They would most likely just wind up being tax-paying employees of some company somewhere.

I agree, therunt. The GOP way, in spite of what they say, is to put barriers in front of anyone trying to help themselves achieve a better job prospect. After all, gotta keep enough poor people willing to work for substandard wages. It would be so much better if help in terms of more flexible jobless benefits while attending a technical college could be viewed as investment in people.
