Not a Fletcher fan anymore. Cullen quality player. Spurgeon over Faulk, really? Throw a puck in the corner and see who comes out with it! I hope Yeo watched coach Q shake up lines for match ups and motivation. Brian Burke is looking for a job!!!!!

Tough to imagine that a 37 yr old is going to have a better year next year than he did last year. Throw in our salary cap situation and it completely makes sense that Fletcher didn't have room for him. At the same time I will really miss watching him play. You get maximum effort every night from Mr. Cullen. I wish him well!

Wished there had been a way to keep Cullen but the lowering of the salary cap ... which is kind of ridiculous considering its likely to go right back up after the 13-14 season ... handcuffed the Wild in terms of keeping the guy. If Ballard has any game left he's an absolute steal at $1.5 million per season. If not, it isn't that big of a risk. What was risky was going into the season with a defenseman making $4 million who couldn't make anything happen (as in Mr. Gilbert).

Why does this even make new's??? no one cares about this stuff. It is HOCKEY - the 6th most popular sport in MN.

hodgie999, nice try bud. Obviously, your comment is simply an attempt to rile people up. No biters though. You're not worth it. You and I both know hockey rules. In other news, this really sucks that they couldn't keep Cullen. He showed his value last year when he was out. I'll be curious to see how they play without him around.

look out for the Stars...they're already better and in the wild's division...

wildhawaii43Jul. 5, 13 5:26 AM

is this really where we are going...?? Yeah...I get the cap issues and the troubles it creates... but, were going to sign a struggling D man for 1 mil less than Gilbert, and what?? Why couldn't we wait for a while and see who loses out in the free agent 'musical chairs'....?? I don't think I like CF anymore.... seriously, I hope he has something big up his sleeve, otherwise....both he and Yeosie can go. 'this will not get posted because I said something negative about 'management'.......Pfffff.

We are STARVED at center. Brodziak STINKS. I would rather keep Cullen than Brodziak, Heatley, Setoguchi combined. Fletcher sure appears to be in way over his head. I though maybe his completely stupid and idiotic trades were just an aberration. I guess not. He does not know how to run a team. If the Wild do not go deep in the playoffs this upcoming season, Fletcher needs to go.

Seriously? Brodziak stays, Cullen goes? Good luck winning a face-off next season.
