The Market is a great place to go for different ethnic food and goods. Don't get there very often but make it a destination shopping 3 or 4 times a year. Passing the word around to friends, neighbors and family will help with their advertizing.

Safari Express and Manny's Tortas are great. I live across the world, but when I'm home I head straight there.

Kudos to Mike Temali, the civic-minded developer/entrepreneur/neighborhood activist that made this project happen. He persevered through multiple challenges. Way to go Mike!

I used to do a lot of work in the area and came here several times a week. Fun place to browse around in and some great food to boot.

Last time I stopped in, I picked up some locally made sausage and cheese that my husband still asks for. The only negative is having to decide whether to repeat the great food tried before or trying something new.

I plan to start getting there more often. What they have now is great, it makes you wish it could be even bigger. I wonder if there is any long-term plan for expansion if things continue to improve.

Unfortunately, restaurants whose workers receive low pay are successful everywhere while retail, that sells manufactured products are unsuccessful. This is not a good predictor of economic growth.

I feel sorry for the minimum wage food workers at the Global Market, many of them work a shift at one restaurant then work another shift at another one. Long hours, long faces and little income. Very sad indeed.
