A brief but crushing rally in the sixth was the righthander's lone blemish as Minnesota's skid reached four games.

Will 90-95 losses in year three of abject failure finally end Gardenhire's baseball career?

Same old same old twins, can't even come close to beaten the best... Owners get new stadium and cut the payroll??? What the hell is going on, fans and locals once again fleeced by yet another billionaire owner with cheap pockets!!! The Polads will always be the same, only interested in making huge $$$ off of the fans... We gave them everything with this Stadium and they give us Cheap minor league baseball in return... They will NEVER beat the Yankees............. Polads suck, sell the damn team to someone who will invest in players who are more than triple A rated!!!

Sure glad it was Mauer up to bat with the game on the line. I know it doesn't all fall on one player's shoulders, but Cano sure doesn't seem to have any trouble carrying his team on his back.

Is the goal to ever win an ALCS or World Series in the future? If it is, the lessons of Tom Kelly have become so diluted and distant that Gardenhire no longer has any relevance to such a goal. I don't say this with vitriol or animosity. They simply can't win moving forward with this coaching staff. Time for a change.

First of all, I would like Gardy to be gone. However, let's remember Tom Kelly's post-1992 record (losses only): 1993 91 L; 1994 60 L (strike year only 113 G); 1995 88 L (strike year only 144 G); 1996 84 L; 1997 94 L; 1998 92 L; 1999 97 L; 2000 93 L; 2001 77 L (TK's last winning season after 8 straight losing seasons). You come to your own conclusions. This post is to add a little historical perspective about this franchise. By the way, Buxton 3 H tonight, an outfield assist, and a .400 BA since joining Ft. Myers. Remember, Hrbek was a mid-season callup from Visalia, High A ball, like Ft. Myers, and hammered a game-winning HR in Yankee Stadium in his MLB debut on August 24, 1981. Just sayin'. Over and out.

i think gardy would try to get fired before he had to fire his coaches. fortunately, that will not be a roadblock very soon. [ all or nothing?]. mn. twins are the nothing now. some ask ????? which coaching, or management might be better. ? or worse? can we please ????? find out? big risk? worst case; might be only 55 wins next season. BUT?; less b.s. OR? SCUFFLE ONWARD AND NOWHERE.TEAM?
