The team secured guard Kevin Martin and forward Chase Budinger, each of them just the shooter they need.

Horrible signing...Kevin Martin is another unathletic player on a team full of them. Did the Wolves management not watch a second the playoffs? Did they miss seeing KMart start off alright in the first halves of games and totally vanish in the second? He CANNOT create his own shot, and after playing with guy the caliber of Kevin Durant, and he couldn't do any better??? I wouldve rather signed no one and just waited until next year when there is a huge free agent class....I'd expect this out of Kahn, but not Flip. UgGGH

SO we do not plan to play any D at all in MN, but this will a top 10 offense and that will win games and get us to the playoffs. Martin was my last choice of the guys we were looking at and the length of these contracts is a concern, but at least we will be competitive, and that's a step in the right direction. A healthy squad and a some self improvement form the guys returning, this could be a team that competes for a 4 seed.

The name of the game is catch and shoot AD the guy who creates shots is named Rubio and with this squad ball movement and finding the open guy is how the game will be played. Yeah the Wolves saw the playoffs... Did you? who was the PG once Westbrook went down? I think Rubio might make a difference. Nope there will not be any D. that's not the question. The question for opposing teams is "can you keep up?" no that ball is not going to win a championship, but did you think we had a shot at that? Let's get out of the basement and then set the bar from there.

"that now has what Saunders considers five point guards on it." Does this means Flip thinks that Zo Brown will make the roster? Brown is long and quick and could likely defend the two. I think he would be a good fit if we can get rid of Barea and Ridnour who add zero defense as well.

Happy to have a real, live shooting guard with working knees. Any real, live shooting guard with working knees. If flying flip out to LA results in two signings within two days, can we please get him on the first flight to Montenegro ASAP!!

Hey frnorth....so you're saying when Durant got double and triple teamed every time he drove to the basket and still couldn't get any real meaningful help from his team including Martin it was due to Westy being injured? Even when Westy was playing Kmart still wasn't great....why you may ask...cause he's not that good. the fact is we needed a guy who can create his own offensive looks and kmart ain't it.

frnorth, you have hit it right on the nose. Martin is a great shooter...he doesn't have to create, Rubio will do it for him along with the rest of the offensive team. Adelman will get the most out of the offensive part of the game. I will admit that defense could be a problem, but they should be very entertaining to watch. Cunningham and the new back up center(the name escapes me) will be the defense, albeit on the second unit.

Oh I forgot to answer your question...Reggie Jackson actually didn't play that bad filling in for westy, you can't replace a guy as talented as Westbrook but yes I did watch the playoffs.are you sure you did if you think the signing is a good move?

Not that anyone has brought up Shved here, but I like him. He's got flaws but you have to remember he was essentially a rookie in a strange land. He just needs more consistency and a new buddy now that AK probably won't be back.

Martin's value as a player comes almost entirely from his offense. He just does not have much to offer on defense. I am not thrilled. On the positive side, Martin plays well in Adelman's offense and will benefit from playing with Rubio.
