I'm sure Gardy felt that Hicks really battled his tail off in lieu of that .191 batting average. What's Collabello gotta do?

My goodness - say it isn't so. Mauer's free fall is enough for one Twin fan to handle.

So much for getting anything decent for Hammer at the deadline.

Yep, there goes our only player (not named Mauer) that had any trade value. Looks like the Twins won't be buyers OR sellers this year. Stand pat with a team of AA and AAA players and HOPE next year is better, this is the plan of Twins management.

Sure would be nice to have a Gomez, Kubel, Cuddyer, Span or Revere right about now.

We couldn't afford those guys commonsens4u because we don't have a new stadium...oh wait.

What an absolute joke this team is. They have no starting pitching staff, no team speed, can't hit with runners in scoring position, no power hitting, the bullpen is full of you know what, Anderson can't produce one good pitcher and Gardenhire continually defends these prima donna would be's!!!!

As stated countless times in 2012, I wish Ryan would have had a trade offer for Willingham as he had a career year and time left on his contract. There was no place to go but down and that's where we are now. - I'm not blaming Terry Ryan as I am not privy to offers he may or may not have received. But the Hammer was ripe for trading LAST year.

Looks like Hicks got all those hitting issues ironed out at Rochester. :)

I wish the Twins could have traded Hammer but the guy came here on a 3 year deal and we can't trade him less than a year into it. What if Ryan asked "hammer, if we got a great deal would you be ok with a trade?" if he said no, it is not fair to him and would have impacted the chance at other free agents later on.
