Minnesota Orchestra to return nearly $1M in state grant money

With its fiscal year over and musicians still locked out, it will give back its $960,000 grant for 2013.

It would almost seem unnecessary to point out that if the Orchestra can afford to give up nearly one million dollars, they can certainly afford to sign a contract. How does this CEO still have his job???

Great question, baronet. Henson has piloted this ship directly into the shore. Fundraising is bound to go so well...with the MOA running ever lower on unrestricted money. I wonder if that's why there's an "anything goes" kind of script on MOA fundraising calls.
