I realize that most people don't go to the fair to eat healthy, but would it kill vendors to at least offer some moderately healthy food?
Tacos aren't healthy? A steak sandwich is not healthy? What’s wrong with a chunk of pineapple wrapped in ham baked in pretzel dough? None of that is “unhealthy” as long as you don’t eat all of them at once. Eat in moderation my friend. You should stay away from the dairy barn though, as that milk will kill you.
A great place for healthy food is Steichens Grocery & Deli. It's been there for over 80 years near the poultry building. They make the BEST hand cut and fresh made sandwich you will ever have! They also have fresh fruit, veggie trays etc. Check it out, very cool place!
Just what's needed, more junk food. Has Dayton said he would tax high calorie consumers or is it just high income earners so far?
Anyone complaining that Fair food is not healthy enough definitely needs to step back. Afetr all, it's so expensive that the old adage of moderation in everything is practically guaranteed: no one can afford to eat too much. And besides, there is a lot of healthy fare: fruits, vegetables, milk, what more could you want? Anyway, no one is forcing you to eat ANY of the stuff you are complaining about. Finally, try to stop being such a fun sucker, will ya?
jabuyer: Thank you, you nailed it! Eat where you want.
boris123: Really? Do you have to bring politics into the State Fair?! Lighten up!
