The Twins clung to a 1-0 lead into the sixth, but shoddy fielding and relief pitching did them in.

Didja see that called third strike on Brian that ended the game? Dick and (Circle Me!) Bert correctly wondered why that pitch hadn't been called a strike all game long until that last pitch. We got jobbed by the ump. And, let's give Mr. Correia his props for the "six strong innings" he pitched. The Florida Marlins were forced to come from behind to win tonight. They had the umps on their side and they got lucky. Otherwise, it's another easy Twins victory. Gardy'll have'em gettin' after again though, so it's OK.

Ump had nothing to do with it. They played down to the level of competition once again. .500 is a long way off.

This team was DOA for 2013. They are Central Cellar bound. July 5th Gardenhire and Anderson will be fired and replaced by guys already with the team.

As this collection of losers led by Ron "the loser" Gardenhire dteadily sinks to .400 ball and 66 wins, it doesn't look like playoff tickets will be needed this year.

On another topic, that new Miami ballpark looks like some kind of joke--with a team to match. Marlins management is having trouble giving away tickets this year.

To lose like that to a team like the Marlins is truly a hideous crime. The Twins should have to play the next game without baseball gloves and two strikes instead of three and have to earn them both back.

To hear Gardy tell it, the Twins suffer the misfortune of running into Bob Feller about ten times a month. Just once, it would be nice to hear Gardy admit, "Except for Baby Jesus, we can't hit a 6th grader's pitches". Fire Gardy and Anderson. Hire Molitor and Bert.

The Marlins were 25-50 coming into tonight. Yes you read that right. And last week all the homers on FSN said the Twins could challenge the Tigers for the division. Just wait till the Yanks come to town next week, that'll be fun!

I'm disgusted. If not making errors or throwing batting practice, they are setting a record for looking at third strikes.

Twins fan win or lose. But when you lose to a club which likely has the lowest winning percentage in all pro sports? Isn't it time for baseball to adopt the 2 tier system of 'relegation' used in the European soccer leagues? So many clubs continue to offer a minor league product under a 'major league brand'. Twins would be a prime candidate for tier II...
