Can you blame the poor souls playing in dead horse bay? They all want to move to God's country.

If Bishop is fully recovered from his surgery and plays like he did before his injury the Vikings will have a very good defense with depth. Cassel, Jennings, Bishop, Floyd, Rhodes, Patterson. GM Spielman deserves lots of credit for addressing pressing needs on both sides of the ball via free agency and the draft. Skol Vikings!

And suddenly our starting linebackers look to be Greenway, Bishop, and Henderson with some depth and some talented rookies waiting to work their way into starters. This is a good situation.

great signing, we needed to not let him get away. even if he's only 80% of what he was before the injury, he's a better option in the mike than anyone else we had on our roster. here's to hoping he (or everybody, for that matter) stays healthy!

Instantly the best linebacker on the team (and better than Greenway, regardless of position or scheme). EJ Henderson, bless his heart, was never even close to this quality level (and a second round pick. Bishop a 6th. Gee, I wonder who drafts better, the Vikings or Pack?;-). Erin Henderson? Don't make me laugh: NOT a starter in any position, strong, weak or middle.

Great signing, low risk and high reward situation. Worst case, he provides much needed depth in the LB Corps, best case he becomes a stop-gap quality starter for the team until those young players develop. Skol Vikings!

re: "Can you blame the poor souls playing in dead horse bay? They all want to move to God's country." -- Nah,it's just that used up Packers players see the Vikings roster as the last stop before checking into assisted living... All kidding aside, Bishop will make a big contribution to the Vikings defense, and it'll be good to see him playing again. Here's to a resurgent Vikings squad - this year will be interesting!

He must have gotten tired of trying to tackle Adrian Peterson.
