What the heck are they doing playing hockey in June? Isn't hockey a winter sport?

There'll be few comments here at the endof the Stanley Cup playoffs. Minnesotans don't care about anything other than their own teams. They cease following championships once their teams are eliminated, which is almost very early in the process. There'll be many more comments about the resigning of their mediocre goaltender, Nick Backstrom. But, I'm glad the Hawks won. What a great late two goal comeback to win the Cup...and in Boston in front of the Bruins fans no less. Sweet.

With a minute and a half left the Bruins were hoping that it wouldn't go into overtime. You have to be careful what you ask for.

"Minnesotans don't care about anything other than their own teams. They cease following championships once their teams are eliminated":___ Amusing when someone makes an uninformed generalization about a group of people. One would think in this day and age, there would be less uneducated preconceived notions about other, but I guess not. Sigh.

p.s. Yes, I did watch the game. I was hoping Boston would be able to hold on and force a Game 7 when they went up 2-1. Not necessarily because I wanted Boston to win the Cup; but more because there's nothing like the excitement generated from a winner-take-all Game 7.

I've been rooting for Minnesota teams since I was a lad and I don't recall ever pulling for a team from Chicago; nothing personal.

The Hawks were fortunate to have the Bruins pull a classic Chicago Choke for them. Given the terrible play of their power play (1 for 18), it would hardly have been a lock for them to win a Game 7 - even on home ice.
