Great news. At least there is one city out there that somewhat respects private property rights and peoples' freedom to choose.

I have always fully respected people's decisions not to smoke or be around smokers. I also fully respect people who decide to smoke. However, business owners should be able to decide whether smoking is allowed in their places of business or not. If customers to not want to patronize a business where smoking is allowed, then they have the right not to patronize that business. Similarly, people who do not want to work in a business where smoking is allowed, should not work in those businesses. Perhaps, if businesses were allowed to make the decision about smoking (and not the nanny state), many might still operate non-smoking businesses (since smokers are still in the minority). But some might choose to allow smoking. I applaude any towns, counties, or states that have the courage to give business owners the right to choose how they run their businesses.
