A south Minneapolis “food desert” is about to gain its own natural foods grocery store.

Excellent news. This will be a huge asset for the neighborhood. I can't wait to stop in on my way to/from work.

Sure to be a huge boon to the area. Not far from the recently-gentrifying 38th and Chicago area, which has been adding coffee and art galleries recently. I've actually been looking at houses in the area, since I can't afford anything on the west side of 35W.

I used to live a few blocks east of Chicago Avenue, and my one complaint about the area was that there was no shopping within walking distance. This would be a great addition to the neighborhood.
