Facebook says a bug in its system caused 6 million users' contact information to be inadvertently exposed.

This kind of story has become almost commonplace. Bank employee carelessly leaves laptop with credit card numbers in parked car and it's stolen (happened). On and on. This is the real reason to worry about government intrusions like we've read about recently. Idiots who don't properly test code or incompetent or malicious people who'll do no good with the information.

I disabled my Facebook and all social media sites last month and here is one more reason I'm happy I did.

Facebook - what a joke its become. My kids took down their accounts. Definitely not cool anymore. Seems the only ones actively using it these days are MOMS posting picture after picture of their kids with narratives of every nauseating thing they do.
