NEW YORK — New York City mayoral hopeful Anthony Weiner is being criticized for his soft reaction to a voter who used a slur when describing his Democratic opponent Christine Quinn.

This is ridiculous. Are politicians now our babysitters? He told her he thought she shouldn't talk that way. What else is he supposed to do? Get in her face and wag his finger at her, then send her to bed early? We have reached an absurd place when a qualified candidate can be seriously questioned over something like this.

I'm not a democrat, or a Weiner fan... ahem. But, this is ridiculous. We gone too far with this stuff. I'm OK with everyone being mad about things people say, but being mad about what they don't say is too much.
