It is funny how much conservative Republicans like big spending by big government when it is their pet project. How do they propose to pay for it? When it is their "emergency," I'm betting that they aren't worrying about that too much.

It's amazing about all these border protections. It reminds of a little incident and place we all like to call France and the indomitable Maginot Line, amazingly enough, the French thought it also would keep out those crazy kids I like to call the Nazis they crossed into Belgium and found a new land so obviously blow all our hard earned tax dollars on junk that will prove ineffective. On the other hand if you make all the illegals legal force them to pay taxes and get health insurance instead if sponging off the government dole that is a plus. Now the minus is all the jobs that would have gone to legal citizens will still not go to them and we will be still receiving more and more illegals.

"The legislation also requires a doubling of the Border Patrol, with the hiring of 20,000 new agents, the purchase of 12 new unmanned surveillance drones and the construction of 350 miles of new fencing, to bring the total to 700 miles."---I wonder how the American citizens who work and do business with those on the other side of the border think about these added fences, drones, and surveillance equipment? They don't just see and look at Mexicans solely. Will they lose business? Will they like being watched all the time? Just wondering!

"It is funny how much conservative Republicans like big spending by big government when it is their pet project. How do they propose to pay for it?"--- The GOP calls this "building the infrastructure!" They are giving money and contracts to their free enterprise private corporations. It's not about spending, but who receives the taxpayers money.
