I had a chance to watch this game last night; I didn't. Simply, they bought the championship and I was surprised the Spurs stayed as long as they did. This is a two or three tier league now and so predictable. Compare it to March Madness where anybody can win.

PS.... The NBA is evolving, to a game that no longer resembles basketball. Sorry, but I used to live basketball but I would rather see a good high school game now, than watch the NBA. The last time I went to the arena to watch an NBA game, there were so many interruptions and the loud music assured me that I will never ever return.

comment229 - I agree with everything you posted about the NBA. To me, the NCAA is becoming more colluded too. There's really only about 10 teams that can win it all. You never used to see teams that had 3-5 draft picks like you do now with Kansas, Kentucky, and Duke. It's becoming more of a 1 on 1 showcase for the upcoming NBA Draft, rather than sticking it out 3-4 years to make a big push come tournament time.

Home team will always win in the NBA finals when it counts. They, the home team ALWAYS get the benefit of the doubt on all calls in the NBA. Almost turns into an 8 - 5 event. If the final game would have been in San Antonio they would have enjoyed the same benefit. This situation/ NBA is so sad.

By my count, that's 2 down and 4 more rings to go before the silly Jordan comparisons will mean anything, "King" James. When you win your 6th ring please be sure to wake us all up and let us know....thanks.

I would like to see a game reffed by officials who are not instructed who the winner should be. Spurs were the better team, but the heat had one great player, one decent player and 3 refs.

What was Lebron's rant about being a poor kid from the inner-city of Akron all about? The funny part is that he started getting really excited all of the sudden to talk about "poor me" after one of his teammates said "Lebron is a baaad man!" while the reporter was asking him about the fan's reaction. I have to admit that if Jordan would have spoken like this it would have rubbed me the wrong way too. I'm not sure why exactly, but it does. Also, as far as the home team getting ALL of the calls and usually always winning, I totally agree, and I think the NBA (of all sports) should be played at a neutral site. The NBA is the only sport I know where playing at home can have such a lopsided advantage. Even in the NFL -- where teams perform best at home -- I can't think of many instances where the refs BLATANTLY take the side of the home team! This needs to change IMO if the NBA is going to compete with the NFL....let alone the MLB!
