Typical lame-stream media story on domestic violence. Minimizes the problems of male victims and nearly exclusively reports on females. Scientific studies show that most domestic abuse is reciprocal, but the media continues with the only-women-are-victims stories. Domestic abuse should be handled like any other public health issue, but minus the gender politics.

I wonder how strong the correlation in percentages is when comparing violence against women worldwide and the percentage of the population that follows "the religion of peace" worldwide .

"When a woman kills her male partner, it's usually out of self-defense because she has been abused," she said. "But when a woman is killed, it's often after she has left the relationship and the man is killing her out of jealousy or rage."....And there is the obligatory "shot" at gun owners at the end. How large was the sample surveyed? Was it randomized or concentrated in certain areas? How was domestic abuse defined? What were the questions? Can a reporter get a copy of the survey questions? Dig deeper please- I am skeptical. There are legitimate abuse incidences, even dangerous and deadly but I am not thinking this is an accurate survey on which to paint the world.

As a feminist, I am always dismayed how women continue to plead for sympathy and help. I call it "poor women" news. Makes women look like the weaker sex. From my understanding, women take it to the men just as much mentally and physically.
