How ironic -long road to majors - and still no promotion for Buxton. Florida league all-star game was last week so it made no sense to promote him to sit. Midwest was this week and the regular season resumes tomorrow . Unless the coaching is clearly superior in Cedar Rapids, it makes no sense to hold Buxton back. Maybe Hicks rehab will be at Fort Myers, then....

Patrick, What's going on? That's 3 great columns out of 4. You are on a roll!

Drafting pitchers and making them shag fly balls at TF? LOL, no bullpen session? Shag fly balls? LOL I would think it would have been cooler for the young players if they would have let them throw a few off the mound rather than shag fly balls

Patrick, add an additional step. Arbitration eligibility date. we all know the cheap pohlads have that in mind when they consider promoting a player.

"Reusse: Long road to majors is just beginning for draft picks"-------If you "have it," the road may not be long at all. White Sox pitcher Chris Sale spent all of 11 games in the minors (the qualifier there, of course, is that he was a college rather than high school pitcher. That said, 11-and-done is still very impressive).

Patrick, you should know better than to make a jesting remark to the young man about an SEC football program, especially one that recruited him. Them's fightin' words.

Blank stares when they meet Tony O. Hopefully they study up on Twins history a bit and realize how important that man was and is to the Twins franchise! One of my heroes growing up and still probably my favorite ball player of all time.

At least Ryan doesn't mind spending a little money SOMEWHERE in this organization. I mean, he spent more on Kohl Stewart than he did on any one pitcher on this year's MAJOR LEAGUE staff, excluding Kevin Correia, who beat out Kohl by about a half million dollars. Oh, Terry...some day you'll have to explain to us all what in the heck your plan is here.

Where are those fans who ripped the Twins for this draft pick, who insisted that Stewart would reject the Twins for T A and M?? Gone like a Dozier home run. The know it alls don't know it all I guess.

Can't fault the kids for taking the money, but a system that gives a kid 4 million or 700,000 before they pitch an inning in pro ball is seriously flawed.
