I hope the best for him as well as the Vikings, sometimes kids/people just need to have someone invest in them for them as a person for who they are for them to grow and blossom like a lotus flower in a swamp.

What I find hard to believe about the trade with New England isn't what the Vikings did to get Patterson. It's what the Patriots did. They needed wide receiver talent. Patterson is right there for them and they let the Vikings take him. What a target he could have been for Tom Brady. Instead New England had the extra picks and took WR Aaron Dobson with the 59th pick (2nd round) and Josh Boyce with the 102nd pick (4th round). Both of these wide receivers have outstanding talent and potential and the Patriots got 4 picks to our 1 so we will need time to see who made fools out of who. I really like Patterson but to begin with I believe you give the advantage to New England just because they got the 4 for 1 deal. Just being objective.

I can't wait to find out what this guy may be able to become in the NFL. I just hope he can catch a football and we don't up with another Williamson. I think he'll either be a big bust or a big superstar. Either way I loved getting him in the draft, even with all the picks we gave up to get him.

Watching him at Tennessee I assumed he was about 5' 10" or so because of the way he cut on a dime. I was stunned to learn he was 6' 3' and 210 lbs. it'll be fun to watch how the vikes incorporate him into the game plan because he's just as much a RB as he is a WR. Lets face it, Percy Hardin wasn't some great route running polished WR. The vikes figured out ways to get him the ball and 95 percent of his yards were run after catch. I would imagine the vikes wil use Patterson in a similar way with an occasional fly pattern :)

If Patterson can catch a deep ball or two, the Vikings will be happy. Number one on their wish list is a receiver who will not allow a defense to stack the box. After all, this is the Adrian Peterson show, and clock management hinges on a running attack.

Vikes should have some real WR options now. There will be no excuse for Ponder if he isn't much better this year. He should know the offense by now, he has Jennings, Wright, Patterson, Simpson (Who I think if he can stay healthy will be much better this year), Webb, Rudolph, Carlson and ADRIAN!! That is a whole lot of weaponry on offense. With an O-Line that improved it's pass blocking at the end of the year last year on top of the weapons to get the ball to??? Should be a KAO :-)

Keep this guy on a tight leash, make him learn the playbook and be strict. This will make a him a better human and player.

If this kid turns out to be a great WR, hope he does not go to Seattle, when his rookie contract is up, like Rice and Harvin did. Seattle getting our top receivers, after there rookie contract is up, is getting mighty old.
