Federal Reserve foresees lower US unemployment, more economic growth next year

WASHINGTON — The Federal Reserve sketched a slightly brighter picture of the U.S. economy this year and next, a sign it is moving closer to slowing its bond-buying program.

Im glad they see lower unemployment, i guess if enough people quit looking we will be 0% soon.

The 'glass half empty' coalition won't like this news. It has to be getting more and more difficult to spin this in a negative way. But I'm sure it won't stop them from trying. Economy growing, jobs growing, stocks growing, deficit shrinking.. everything teapubs promised to do, but it's happening in spite of their best efforts to stop it. Must be a tough pill to swallow to see your argument disappear in a puff of smoke.

Have faith, no matter what good things happen, the Group of Pretenders will find a way to put a negative spin on it. See above for a typical example..

I guess all of the stock market participants must be in the "glass half empty coalition" after their 353 point loss today. Bernanke has to forsee economic growth in order to make his QE exit more orderly and not a total route.
