Wis. lawmakers approve bill investing state, private money in startups in selected industries

MADISON, Wis. — State lawmakers on Tuesday approved legislation that would invest millions of dollars in public and private money in Wisconsin startups despite criticism that the investment targets only limited industries.

Texas has the same type of slush fund for start ups. The governor doles it out to his big donors. More corporate welfare.

Just like in TX, this is the way for the Governor to fill up his own campaign funds by using state money. Most of the money he doles out will be returned to his campaign fund. Money laundering at its finest.
