It will be good to get out of there and hope these people can protect their own, from their own, on their own. It's ridiculous for Americans to die on their behalf.

Hilarious. This is nothing but a "training wheels" military for the next 50 years.

This is absolute garbage. Association with Al Quaeda aside the Taliban are some of the most horrible people on earth. To open talks with them is disgusting and a blight on Obama's foreign policy. These extremists are one of the most repressive governments out there.

I'm sure trying to rationally negotiate with people that hate our guts will be very productive, and I'm sure we can trust whatever they promise. Go get em' Obama. You da man!!!!!

Well OK then, the Taliban are on the way to becoming a legit political party we can deal with. They've opened an office and have intvieted us to talk; now they just need to cease murdering their fellow citizens and stoning women for wearing high heels.

You watch and see, our fearless leader will want to give our terrorist friends, the Taliban, a billion dollars to buy their cooperation.

Whatever, Obama is going to continue to arm and give support to terrorists. (Neither group in Syria is clean). Not a John Birch person, but these arent our problems. Really, we cut millions to meals on wheels but can give millions in support to an Islamic rebel faction?

Want to clean this mess up? Give Afgan back to the Iranian Persians. Most of this mess goes back to the UK and their defining borders after breaking the Ottoman empire.

Something tells me that these negotiations could have happened 7-8 years ago savings us hundreds of billions of dollars and thousands of American lives.
