"like keeping interest rates low to encourage borrowing and buying bonds to push investors into stocks" How does one party buying shares of stock from another party do anything for economic growth? I see it as people taking Monopoly Money and moving it around instead of spending it on NEW job producing investment. Economic growth will not occur until entities with excess Monopoly Money are coerced into giving other people and entities their money to create new job producing investment and true economic growth. A Tax on hoarding money in the mattress or other non NEW creating job forming investments may force the Monopoly Money into NEW job producing investment.
