....but, she stabbed an old lady to death to obtain money. Does she merit a second chance, and a second chance to do what?

Sadly, the woman Cooper murdered didn't get a second chance at life so I don't understand why people are so anxious to give Cooper another chance. Hopefully she won't murder anyone else after she is released from prison. If she does, it will be on the heads of the officials who released her into society.

I am as anti-death penalty as it gets. But I can't fathom why they're letting her out. Boggles the mind. Did she need to stab the elderly lady 20 more times in order to stay in prison?

As somebody that is paying 1,000's in student loans to obtain my bachelors degree, I would love to know how much it cost her to get the same bachelors degree. I am sure I wouldn't like the answer.

We simply have to recognize the fact that our criminal justice system produces wildly varying outcomes, sometimes for valid reasons and sometimes not. I would like to know a lot more about Ms. Cooper before passing judgement on whether 27 (or so) years is enough punishment.

What if a person or two was an accomplice in the murder of over a 100,000 people?

she deserves to spend the rest of her life in prison, sadly someone will realize that when she resorts to violence again. As for the college education, who is paying back that student loan, wait don't tell me I already know the answer ME
