Wis. Assembly passes 3 bills to strengthen domestic abuse laws after Brookfield spa shooting

MADISON, Wis. — The Wisconsin Assembly approved a trio of bills Thursday to strengthen the state's domestic violence laws after one abuse victim was shot last year by her estranged husband at a Brookfield spa.

Victims of stalking need much more than 'tips' or a piece of paper. They need trained volunteers and staff to work with them and the police to help document and record the stalking activity and hold stalkers accountable before damages and/or violence occur. Urge your local police, city, county agencies, and your local legislators to co-ordinate with the federal level for funding. http://www.grants.gov
