The 6th District will field a lot of quality candidates for us to consider. Rhonda is an example of what we have to offer in conservative leadership. I'm confident we will put forth a wonderful candidate that will prevail over any Democrat that shows up to compete. Long live the Conservative view that resides in the 6th District.

dmay: "Long live the Conservative view..."? She is hardly a Conservative. She was Marty's running mate. As a 30-plus year resident of Anoka County, I cannot see what difference she has made. Just another spotlight-grabbing politician who loves the word "I." Exactly what are her "unique" qualifications? And I am beyond tired of politicians saying Washington is broken only to have them become just another part of the problem. We citizens know Washington is broken, and we know what needs to be done: cut spending. But politicians use the spending promises to stay in power, so cutting spending will never happen.

While it may be true that one representative will have a difficult time reducing spending on their own, we certainly don't want to send another tax and spender to Washington! Rhonda has demonstrated by her leadership on the Anoka County Board that she does represent that view. Incidentally, I have lived in Anoka county for 40 years and proud of what is being done here to reign in the over reach of government in Avery liberal state.

Exactly what are her "unique" qualifications? One could ask that question about Betty McCollum, too? Apparently she's an expert on Native American mascots.

i for one am happy to rhonda in the race. although i am a big fan of the davis and emmer radio show, i was NOT impressed with emmer being the conservative, republican, whatever you want to call it choice. i hope she is the one that is left standing in the end. i agree with dmay88. i too have lived in anoka for over 45 years. its like the last place left in minnesota for conservatives. its the only place i want to live. go rhonda!

dmay88, there was never a recorded time in the history of the United States that austerity took us out of a depression similar to the one that we're in via the republican leadership of recent years. Taxes and spending is a proven method that works. Even though it looks gloomy for democrats in the 6th district for '14, I'll be voting for their responsible leadership regardless.

Conservatives always like to complain about "tax and spend" Democrats, but I always felt that "tax and spend" was much more preferable than the "spend and charge" plan the Republicans continue to use, like Bush did with the Iraqi War, which he never paid for. Up until that time we had a budget surplus in America, from the Clinton administration. One doesn't stimulate an economy by starving it or making it smaller.......
